SmartSpace is Simple To Use

SmartSpace is a great website platform for Graphic Designers because it lets you design a  great website which incorporates all the extras which normally requires a full IT department. You do the design and provide content, and SmartSpace does all the IT.

Design a Website or Use a Ready Made Template

The quickest and easiest way to use SmartSpace is to use an existing template.

• If you want to use another colour scheme, we will create a new style sheet for you as part of the service
• You add your own images and, in some cases, graphics
• Every SmartSpace website comes with over 50 widgets to deliver the required content into the template
• Many widgets  can be configured to change the style or amount of content
• If you want to make changes to an existing template we can provide a custom style sheet or we can resave the changes as a new template

• Design specifications are extremely flexible as can be seen by our current list of templates.
• Our current offer of free template development (see below) makes it attractive for the buget conscious clients, as one of the major costs of website development are removed from the equation.
• We provide support and training to ensure your website development is a breeze, not a chore

Free Template Development Offer

If you want to get free Template development from Smart Space here is how it works:

• You design the website using our design specifications as a guide. Read more here
• Include all the page elements which will be needed to complete the website
  
  • EG. Home page, content page, e-commerce pages etc
• You provide us with an editable PDF file of the design
  
  • We need to be able to extract the graphic design elements such as special borders, backgrounds etc
  • You will need to list the hex values of all the colours used for each specified element
• We build the template framework using our available widgets
  
  • In some cases we may build new widgets to create a new website feature or service or element
  • If you want to make small changes to the template framework in the future, this can be done by use of a custom template, or by saving the changes as a new template.
• Finally, you grant us free, permanent, non-exclusive use of the template framework design to us, for use by other SmartSpace clients in the future
  
  • We credit you with the design work
  • The template will only be ever used on SmartSpace site
  • The template will never be packaged and sold in any way other than as a SmartSpace website
  • Images uploaded into the SmartSpace system by designers do not form part of the template (others who may use the template will need to upload their own images)
• If you do not want to take advantage of our free offer, we will build the template framework on a fee for service basis (Prices start at AUD $800)
